Paul Sherb

Paul Sherb was born in Romania and his great talent for art was recognized as early as the first grade. At the age of twelve he did his first oil painting, inspired from the Classic Flemish and Italian Artists. Later on, he attend the "Belle Arte" Art School in Bucharest. Hard work and a great passion for fine art painting brought Paul to the level of a professional artist, and his work as successfully received in Romania.

Due to increasing hardship caused by the Communism Regime, Paul moved to Los Angeles, California, where he met and married Cornelia, with whom he has four children. He loved to paint sceneries and live portraits with oil paint, charcoal and pastel at Laguna Beach, California, but wanting a quiet, more family-oriented community, he moved with his family to Boise, Idaho, where his fifth child was born. In Boise he became attracted to working in watercolor, and his accomplished portrait work has brought him many commissions. Still living in Boise, Paul continues a full-time commitment to watercolor painting. His portraits, watercolor still lives, abstracts and scenic views have attracted collectors and commissions in the United States and and Europe.
